The Way Forward

 Are you struggling with indecision right now? Or have you ever struggled in the past with this? What is it that helped you move forward?

Personally, I have struggled with indecision a lot in my life. Up until recently, I would avoid hard decisions, procrastinate if you will. I would rather not make a decision, fearing it would be the wrong one. It felt too risky, too unsafe, like shaky ground. This mindset kept me stuck. Can you relate?

How many of you know that when you seek the Lord in his Word, he has a way of shifting your perspective. He graciously will offer you his perspective. It is up to us to align our perspective with his. Praise be to his glorious grace. Hallelujah  

In my quiet time, I asked him, “how do I make a decision not knowing if it’s the right one? What if it moves me in the wrong direction?”

This is the perspective he gave me. I am the Way, the Truth and the Life.  No one comes to the Father but through me. If you don’t know which way to go, follow me, I AM THE WAY. So friends, this literally hit my heart, awakened my soul and opened my eyes. If you don’t know which way to go, or what decision is best, then take him at his Word. Follow him, he is the way. The most wonderful attribute of God is that he is near and longs to be gracious to you. He will not abandon you in your distress but rather comes close. He is closer than a friend. He saves the one who is lost and crushed in spirit. He pursues, he loves, he understands the journey you are on and knows what’s up ahead. So, trust the One who knows and draw close to him. He will lead you in that decision as you follow him. 

We can’t follow someone if we don’t know where they are, right? So get quiet. Be still enough to hear him. He is speaking right now. Don’t you hear? Don’t you see? He is as close as your next breath. He will guide and direct you as you go. He will keep your feet on the right path as you walk with him. If you stray to the right or to the left it is his hand that will keep you on track. All you need for the next decision is to believe and follow the One who knows what is up ahead on your path. Ask, seek, knock and the door will be open. He longs to hear from you. He longs to be gracious to you. He will show you the way forward. That is just who He is… He is the way.

Be. Believe. Become

 I have recently been on a journey of becoming a life coach. I am currently a Dental Hygienist of 30 years and have found this career to be greatly rewarding. For those who are closest to me know that as I am getting older, my physical body is, as I define, generally experiencing the wearing out phase of life. From Under to In

 What does it mean to go from under to in?  Galatians 4:4-7 states that when the set had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a women, born UNDER the law to redeem those under the law, that we may receive adoption to sonship. Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son INTO our hearts, the Spirit who calls out Abba, Father. So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child, God has made you also an heir.  Let me help break this truth down. We who believe in the Son, have gone from UNDER to IN. Under law to In Christ. His Spirit now resides on the INSIDE of us which makes us  an heir. An heir to what? His Son, His Spirit, forgiveness and eternal life. All that comes with his Son, which is all goodness, truth and light.
